Toxic Matches

There is a place where the heat has never touched
Bereft of light’s paintbrush
A place that the pain can’t touch
A land whose heart is made of stone
There alone will be our habitat and that is the world we will fill
We will kill the frost and will the lost
To follow the leader even if he is tossed and breaks his knee
To make the globe into we and flee the town drowned by the sea
The world is your family
Then what whore made a man of me
Who is my epitome
Who will pity me and be my father
Do I grasp the collective arm to go farther
I fit as I sit in this pile of shit and pretend it doesn’t smell
We smile and say the world is hell
Like the belle at the ball who wants world peace
Can’t cease looking in the mirror, grinning, try to say it clearer
Words only count when people hear them
Peer into my attitudes and find them free of platitudes
Thanks for the gratitude
I am cliché
I fell into a group and think what they say
We’re each original in the very same way
The artist who starts this
The guitarist and the lyricist who near this inner narcissist
Impart this dead sea
We float on the hopes of fresh water to be
I thought and I think that I will not sink
Into common conceptions
The world is the same
So change your perceptions
Energy does not end
It’s always in the collection
It does not grow
It merely shows the many shades of death
Your first breathe means you only have so many left
Beneath your flesh is a skeleton and the bones shall be alone
So embrace death because you’re heading home
It’s where you started and where you’ll end
Trying to fill the void with flowers my only friend
It’s my beginning to make this existence a life
I began as the night and saw the day
To play I stole the rays
To make the stars come out in my envious days
They sing if you listen
Soon to be eclipsed by brighter lights and darker nights
Kiss the poison bitch
She’s ugly because you hit her
She gives back what you give her
Make the switch you know you will
The more you hate
The more you kill
Save the stars as a jewel
To fool the sun
Imitations is the finest form of flattery
When did creation become assault and battery
You matter to me and will
Because the world is filled
Though it’s empty
You were sent for me as a part
Life is a timeless art
Everything constantly creating the present
The past is an abortion and the future is worth the labour
Don’t kill the mother/not when you could save her
When she can stop all birth
And becoming like her children
Only building with ashes
They can’t find the light without toxic matches
