Nov. 18/03

I can almost taste you
feel your lips under
   my teeth
cruel as I explore.
How much do you feel?
If only you were here.
I have decided
   and I fear my timing
will prove imperfect as ever.

Such feeling, such skin
too hot to touch
come along –
   with me –
I will lead you
   if
you will follow
guard me while I sleep
and move my heart
more than I dare,

Nov. 23/03

I never dreamt it would come to
    this moment of clarity,
to have decided unexpectedly
    that I would give up
your mind for your body,

This want is almost too much
    I should have known
        how dangerous.
Too much to walk away from
        and ignore
Too much to give in to.

How can I walk away
   and never know?
But also how to
   offer everything
  for what?
And that is exactly the question.

What do we have,
how far will it go,
   how deep do we run?
