Visiting Hannah

Dinner-time, Brighton. Looking out rainy windows watching
lives pass by.
Inside: the string pull lights shining on narrow bathtubs
make bubbles golden and toes warm.
Double-decker buses weave amongst mini-cars on the wrong
side of the road and damp air gives vines life ~ to crawl and
explore the cold grey stone. Skirts over pants and turned up
shoes mingle on the sidewalks beep beep patter whoosh.
Sunday pubs like Christmas with warm and welcoming
wooden stools where shoulders rub and voices dream about
the world and what we will do as we do it.
Red wine and pizza-with-eggs-on-top amongst alleys in a
maze of brown cords and old records. Grass squishes in the
park and wafts up to recollect spring.
Photos of people, and cabinets of a greater idea explore
minds of espresso sipping students. A smaller entwined
London with a train ride that makes them seem interlocked:
feeding off each others frenzied fuel.
