I Zoomed

The clouds yawned, tired from crying...
the sun sneaked out to play upon the leaves,
turning them into oils:
yellow-gold, burnt umber, shades of red, and orange.
The gray asphalt snaked through the mosaic;
I zoomed through the picture, in awe.
I looked at the people whizzing past, to see where their eyes did
fall.
They looked indifferent--talking on their cell phones,
watching only to pass one another.
I zoomed alone through the masterpiece,
feeling so very small.
