Oui Oui, Denis Encore

Nine O’clock and he
Saunters down the hall
Peeking into open rooms
Zeroing in on music and laughter
The Frenchman smiles,
Brushes his English
And seeks his prey.

He knows the curse words
And the innocent manner
To woo
He uses blatant sexuality.
They love the shock
Oui, oui, Denis, elles t’adorent
I watch them from my bed,
Sneering at their naivety.

The telephone rings and
“I go” says the Frenchlicker.
In my dim room a girl asks
“Who’s he?”
(He is no one’s.)
“The new guy in the residence”

The girls sigh because
They want him
And they will have him
But only for a night
I know
Because I was the first in line.
