“Amoebic Alien!”

Reclined
ln my Lay-Z-Boy
I released a slavish sigh
(Yes, slavish is an appropriate adjective)
When eye looked
into my worn, uncanny driveway
To see something so dumbfounding
(If that is indeed a word)
Moreso than when I saw that jolly ol’ chap
Decked in red. climbing up my chimney (at his age too!)
At frst,
I thought it could have been
x___________________
Getting me back for
Giving his chinchilla Ex-lax
By putting processed cheese
On the Shiny hood of my lovely
Black 1972 Oldsmobile
In the blisterting August sun
As I neared,
However,
I saw this not to be so,
Not to so y that
This is not an ideal
Prank to cheese people off
(Pardon my tackyness)
so I neared this
GUNK!
As it caressed my hood
Like an amoeba with a bladder
Control problem (pardon my use of similes)
I looked to the sky,
From where I figured
It must
Have
Fall
      en
And thought................................
.................“Shit, maybe it’s an alien”
And to keep a L O N G climax
Short,
Little
Did I know
How close my hypothesis was.
