Solitude

A
little
puppet sits
alone and still.
No soul can see it.
Staring far away, it
takes the breath it does not have
and contradicts the men who made
it.

The Hour Glass

Fragile, irreversible hour glass
with just
     so much sand

Yours broke
  so many cracks
  yet still
    so much sand

Mine
  scratched by your splinters
  and too many others
  has too wide a neck
My sand trickles through
  even now as I write
  even then as I thought
  with every smile, every tear
My sand trickles through
  never does it slow down
  to pause
  to give me more time
My sand trickles through
  always, quickly
  yesterday. today.
My sand trickles through
My sand trickles through...
